USCG COOL funding for ATP CTP

Active duty, Selected Reserve (SELRES), and eligible Coast Guard members can use CG COOL Credentialing Assistance (CA) for voluntary civilian credentials. The program reimburses up to $4,500 per fiscal year for approved training courses, exams, and materials on a first-come, first-served basis. Gulf Coast Aeronautical is approved for the FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP).

How to apply

  1. Consult your Education Services Officer (ESO).
  2. Search for ATP on the CG COOL website.
  3. Submit your CA request in MyCG Ed.
  4. Complete training with GCAS and submit receipts for reimbursement.

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) interest-free loans are available for upfront costs.
