Foreign ATPL Holders Seeking FAA ATP and Type Rating

Pilots who hold a foreign ATPL and want an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with an A-320 or B-737 type rating.

1. Non-U.S. citizens: get TSA approval before any simulator training. See TSA guidance.
2. Start FAA foreign license verification. Processing takes approximately 45 to 90 days. See Foreign License Verification.
3. Once you are enrolled in a GCAS course, our Foreign Pilot Examiner may be able to issue an FAA airman certificate under 14 CFR §61.75 as part of your training.
4. Choose your training: ATP CTP, A-320 type rating, or B-737 type rating.

Do not schedule any travel and check rides, etc. until a valid Verification Letter is received from Airmen Certification Branch.

All of our classes are less than a month long. Rather than the usual I-20 process, international clients can come to the U.S. on a B-1 or B-2 visa once they have TSA approval and, for type ratings, the Foreign License Verification Letter.
