GCAS Now Offers ATP CTP Training to U.S. Coast Guard Members Through CG COOL

We’re excited to announce that Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services (GCAS) is now making our FAA Part 142 approved Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) available to eligible U.S. Coast Guard members through the Coast Guard COOL Credentialing Assistance (CA) program. What This Means for Coast Guard Aviators

CG COOL allows active duty, reserve, and eligible members to pursue voluntary civilian credentials like the FAA ATP certificate. Through CA, you can receive reimbursement of up to $4,500 per fiscal year for qualifying training courses, exams, and materials. Applications are handled through the MyCG Ed portal with guidance from your Education Services Officer (ESO).

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) also provides interest-free loans to help cover upfront costs, making it easier to get started.
