Introduction: Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services, a leading provider of aviation training and services, unfortunately, must announce the closure of our offices and 14CFR§142 operations at the DeFuniak Springs Airport (54J). However, we are excited to share that we will be relocating our business office back to Freeport, FL, where we will continue to maintain our Air Agency Certificate 1GUX090K. In this blog post, we will provide you with the details of this transition and share some exciting opportunities that lie ahead for Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services.

New Opportunities for Local Services: While the closure of our DeFuniak Springs Airport operations is regrettable, we remain committed to serving our local pilots. In the time of a national Airline Transport Pilot shortage, Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services is actively exploring other avenues to provide our pilot training services within the Northwest Florida Area. We understand the importance of maintaining a strong presence in the local community and will strive to identify new opportunities to support our local pilots and military veterans.

Relocation to Dallas Fort Worth Training Center: As part of our transition, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully relocated three of our local positions to our state-of-the-art Dallas Fort Worth Training Center. This move allows us to continue delivering high-quality training and services while expanding our capabilities at our Dallas Fort Worth TX location. Our team in Dallas Fort Worth is ready and eager to serve our clients with the same level of expertise and dedication they have come to expect from Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services.

FAA Examiner Services by Appointment: Effective immediately, our FAA Examiner Services will be available by appointment only. We understand the importance of providing timely and efficient services to our clients, and this new arrangement will help us better manage our resources while ensuring personalized attention for each individual. To schedule an appointment, please contact Captain Minor at 800.588.9325 Ext. 3. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this transition.

Continuing Commitment to Airline Training Program: To all our clients who have expressed interest in our Airline Training Program, we want to assure you that we remain dedicated to providing you with the highest quality training and support. We value your trust and will continue to offer comprehensive and industry-leading programs designed to help you achieve your aviation career goals. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you succeed in our Airline Training Program at our other nationwide locations.

Formal Press Release Coming Soon: We understand that you may have additional questions or require more detailed information about these changes. Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services is currently working closely with our legal counsel to prepare a formal press release that will provide further details and address any concerns you may have. We appreciate your patience, and we will ensure that the press release is distributed as soon as possible. We cannot accept any press inquiries at the present time.

Conclusion: Although the closure of our DeFuniak Springs Airport operations is unfortunate, Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services is focused on embracing new opportunities and continuing to deliver exceptional aviation training and services. We are determined to explore local options, maintain strong client relationships, and expand our capabilities at our other locations. We appreciate your support during this transition and look forward to serving you with the same dedication and commitment that has defined Gulf Coast Aeronautical Services throughout the years.
