Welcome to Gulf Coast Aeronautical's DC-10 Systems Review

In these Distance Learning Modules, we will explore various system components that are representative of the McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 Aircraft. Our baseline reference for this aircraft is the KSSU factory configuration, which has been further modified based on Northwest Airlines' engineering changes to the traditional Flight Instrumentation & Engine Information System(s).

We acknowledge that not all subsystems covered here may be installed in your fleet aircraft. However, it is essential to understand and address the system differences among DC-10-30 type certifications.

Video Controls

The video player should work on all portable devices. The options that can be used on the video player may be limited by the internet browser in use.

  • The Green circle represents a quick forward or rewind buttons of 5 seconds from where the playhead is located.
  • The Red circle represents the module menu button to select elements within that module.
  • The Orange circle represents the Full Screen Option button. Use the ESC key to return to normal size
  • The White dots on the player timeline is where the element quizzes are located.

DC-10 Lighting Systems Presentation

The simulator we will be conducting our training and testing in is a DC-10-30. Please use the DC-10-30 references for your study and oral test preparation.
